Sewing room update

Well the drop sheets are packed away, the brushes all cleaned and the painting is done . . . .

The curtains are up and the sewing cabinet and Victoria ( my machine) have moved in

Victoria and her cupboard are now established in their new home. The bed is made with fresh sheets and is ready for visitors.... I wonder who will be it s first guest?

And I have a nice sunny spot to sit and sew

I have this lovely tallboy to fill with fabric and patterns . . . .
There is also a cupboard to hide all my PHD s in

It s all still a little messy and it will probably be weeks before everything finds a place and is organised.... But I am in heaven.... I visit my room several times a day and just enjoy my space

Not a lot of sewing happening , but it will come

"Hope your hands are working on a project that you love"

Ciao

hoe exciting for you,it looks great, enjoy.xx
Although the room needs to be dual purpose, that is, a guest room also, have a think about changing the bed to a sofa bed. Better still I've seen a chair bed. It was a lovely comfy armchair that opened out to a single bed. The frame was the same as a sofa bed just in single bed size. Then you would have a place to sit and hand sew in comfort but still have a bed for a visitor.
You did a wonderful job on the room. Painting is one of those jobs I never mastered. I'm only ever allowed to wash the walls and cut in.
I'll have to get back to you about the dress duumy I see in the photo. I have been giving some serious thought to buying one.
Looks perfect...lucky you...

It looks great Trish, I'm so happy for you. And who cares if it's a bit messy, it's YOUR OWN ROOM!

I was lucky enough to finally get back a room of my own too - after 20+ years of not having one - when DD#1 got married. Im loving it - I get so much more done and although not everything fits in here - at least most of it does. Mine has a bed too and I am seriously considering a sofa bed or a modern version of an old style night & day... if I can find one that fits - trouble is your bed is so pretty, it would be hard to get rid of it!
Have fun!!!
