GDITC 2011

Last weekend i headed up to Nundle for the annual girls day in the country (GDITC). The girls day in the country is an annual event organised by Kerry from Cottage on the Hill. Kerry organises a lovely day in Nundle where stitchers from far and wide gather to spend the day together, chatting, stitching and eating very yummy food. The GDITC has a guest tutorer and this year we were fortunate to have Anni Downs of Hatched and Patched. This was my second year attending this fantastic day

this is one of the fabulous projects we were given the kit to make
a lovely little wallhanging with lots of supper cute stitcheries
can't wait to start this.......

Our second kit
A gorgeous little wool purse, made using the beautiful hand dyed wools created
by Anni's clever Husband.

These cute baskets were filled with luscious sweets for morning and afternooon tea
The diet was at risk.......

Anni's show and tell was fantastic

Chookyblue organised a brown paper bag swap, those whom choose to participate
made a project designed by Anni Downs of a certain size, placed it in a brown paper bag
with their name.
the bags were swapped and all whom participated received a gift
it was really lovely

i wish i could say i received this lovely keycase or that i made it
but i didn't my friend Alison
made this beautiful gift, much to the delight of it's new owner.

All you ladies must of had a ball with Anni and catching up with each other. I love all of Anni's designs and you have taken some lovely pics of them. I can see myself having to put a couple of her new designs on my 'to buy' list!
