My first Christmas in July project complete

Yep I have completed my first project from the Quilt fabric delights, Christmas in July retreat The lovely designs are coming thick and fast, and my head is in a whirl trying to decide where to start first..... So I thought hmmm what will i do, what will i do ......well when in a state of confusion ...l bake Did you know I love baking toooo, well yep I do..... This is MY mixing bowl, my girls know that this is my most favourite ever mixing bowl, it' s not antique not super expensive, but it's just special because every time i use it it reminds me of my grandmother whom taught me the love of baking Some super special flour, as most of you know we visited Tasmania last year, whilst we were there we visited Oatlands and the Callington Mill. Another Special delivery . . . . .

this time from my post lady . . . . . yesterday this very special parcel arrived at my place from the first of the  Traditional nine Patch Swap parcels this one from Barb all beautifully sealed up in cliplock bags (to protect the blocks of course) arn't they just gorgeous it's all getting very exciting i now have  Betty and Barbs blocks in my little cupboard along with my own and let me tell you they are looking really  yummy are you guys sure you want these blocks, i may just keep them . . . . LOL . . . . i will post photo's of Betty's blocks early next week so to all the other  Traditional Nine Patch Swappers i hope this gives you some inspiration to get stitching hope i don't need to get the  . . . egg slingshot out . . . The Nest ( my sewing room) update

Things are progressing slowly in the nest In one of my favourite movies there is a line that goes like this "Pick one room and make it yours. Go slowly through the house. Initially my tall boy was out in the room, but it did nt feel right so after gadget did a bit of work on it, it was tucked away into the wardrobe Gadgets handy work my old cotton reels , complete with their thread, made into draw knobs Don t they look great . . . . So why did nt the tall boy feel right?
