My first Christmas in July project complete

Yep I have completed my first project from the
Quilt fabric delights, Christmas in July retreat

The lovely designs are coming thick and fast, and my head is in a whirl trying to decide where to start first.....

So I thought hmmm what will i do, what will i do ......well
when in a state of confusion ...l bake

Did you know I love baking toooo, well yep I do.....

This is MY mixing bowl,

my girls know that this is my most favourite ever mixing bowl, it' s not antique not super expensive, but it's just special because every time i use it it reminds me of my grandmother whom taught me the love of baking

Some super special flour,

as most of you know we visited Tasmania last year, whilst we were there we visited Oatlands and the Callington Mill. This flour was ground using the power of wind. Yep it's windmill ground flour.

All ready for the oven

Mmmmm all ready for the belly

This recipe was from the Lovely Cherl Goss of Willowberry designs

I m not sure if this was how it was supposed to look, my mixture was a little dry so I ended up having to add extra butter ....

This fabulous little basket was also Cheryl's design for us, what a great idea for A gift, the little basket and the ingredients for the super yummy

Lemon slice

The slice was really good, the testament to it's taste is that there is now only one piece left ......... I just loved the Lemon icing on top. The Lemon was super special too, because it came from my next door neighbours Lemon tree.

"I hope your hands are working on a project that you love"

Ciao

There's nothing better than lemon slice. When we were in Tassie a few years ago they were still in the process of restoring the mill, so we didn't get to sample any of their wares. I'm so pleased it is all up and running. Have fun with all your projects.
